Transthoracic Echocardiogram

  • Ultrasound images of your heart is taken at rest
  • No need for any special preparation
  • Time required: 45 – 60 minutes

Treadmill Stress Echocardiogram:

  • This test involves an echocardiogram and exercise stress test
  • The patients are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for exercise
  • Ultrasound images of your heart is taken before and after exercise
  • Specific medications are restricted to be taken 8 hours prior to the test
  • Time required 1 to 1.5 hours

Treadmill Exercise Stress ECG Test:

  • Comfortable clothing and walking shoes suitable for exercise must be worn
  • Check with your doctor to find out if any medication has to be stopped before taking the test.
  • Time required: 30 minutes

Holter Monitoring & Blood Pressure Monitoring:

  • Holter monitor is attached to your chest and waist to record the electrical activity of the heart for 24 hours or one week, as required.
  • Ambulatory monitoring is done to record your blood pressure for 24 hours.
  • Normal activities such as shopping and working can be carried out
  • Time required: 20 minutes
